EvoPlayer ("the App") is a personal media player for Android TV, Fire TV, Google TV, Android phones and tablets, and Windows. It plays media you already have, such as your own Plex, Jellyfin, or Emby library or playlists you add yourself. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Your EvoPlayer Account

You can use the App without giving us your name, email address, or phone number. If you choose to create an account on our website (for example, to subscribe), we collect the email address you sign up with and the password you choose, so you can sign in and manage your account.

Payments

Subscriptions are paid through our payment processor. We receive confirmation of your payment and your subscription status, but we never see or store your full card number.

Device Information

To link your devices to your account, apply your plan's device limit, and help with troubleshooting, the App sends us the following about each device:

• A device identifier
• Device model, manufacturer, and brand
• Operating system version
• Screen resolution and display density
• App version
• Device storage and memory information
• IP address
• Device type (TV, phone, tablet, or computer)

Data Synced Across Your Devices

So your experience follows you from screen to screen, the following is stored with your account:

• Favorites
• Watch progress and Continue Watching
• App preferences and parental control settings
• The list of devices linked to your account

Media Sources You Add

Playlist addresses and sign-in details for your own media sources are stored on your device. If you choose to share a source with your other devices (for example, your Plex sign-in), it is stored with your account so your other devices can use it. You can remove it at any time.

Diagnostics

If the App crashes, it may send a crash report (app version, device model, and error details) so we can fix the problem. When you need help, we may request diagnostic logs from your device to troubleshoot. A screenshot of your screen is only ever taken after you approve the request on screen.

• Recordings you make and their details
• Downloaded content and cached images
• Reminders you set

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• Location or GPS data
• Contacts, photos, or personal files
• Microphone or camera access
• Advertising identifiers
• Browsing history outside the App

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the App and keep your favorites, progress, and settings in sync across your devices
• To link your devices to your account and apply your plan
• To process your subscription
• To send account emails, such as sign-in codes and receipts, if you gave us an email address
• To troubleshoot problems and improve the App

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

• Payment processor: handles subscription payments under its own privacy policy.
• The Movie Database (TMDB): provides posters, descriptions, and ratings. No personal data is sent to TMDB.
• Sports data: public scores and schedules are loaded for the Game Day section. No personal data is sent.
• Services you connect yourself: if you connect your own Plex, Jellyfin, or Emby server, the App communicates with it directly, and that service's own privacy policy applies.

The App contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics trackers.

5. Data Storage & Security

All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS. Account data is kept for as long as your account is active, and is deleted when you ask us to delete your account (see below).

6. Deleting Your Data

• On your device: use Sign Out in the App, clear the App's data in your device settings, or uninstall the App.
• Your EvoPlayer account: email [email protected] and ask us to delete your account. We delete your account and synced data within 30 days. Payment records are kept only as long as the law requires.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Content

EvoPlayer does not provide, host, or control any media. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to play the media you add to the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
